Our New House

This is my future home. The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. My mother has made it her own for now, until I am ready to take on such a big house-year and a half or so-until then, all I can due is dream and plan how I am going to make it MY home.

The guest bathroom is very small without any windows at all and is across from the guest bedroom and my son's room. The master bath is larger, but an odd floorplan. The living room is to the left of the entryway and past the living room is an extra space that will serve as my home office. In the back of the house, leading to the backyard is a small room with wood panelling that can nicely be converted into a sun room, with beautiful white french doors that open to the backyard. The main problem is the central A/C and Heating unit doesn't connect to these two extra rooms.

The kitchen has a breakfast area and shares a wall with the 1 car garage. There is no formal dinning area but the kitchen is large enough to support an eat-in area that could easily fit a six-seater dinning table. The master bedroom is large but sits on an odd floorplan. The two other adjourning bedrooms are rather small and the smallest of the two is without windows as it sits int he center of the house.
All the floors are covered in a terrible ceramic tile job and are aching for shiny hardwood floors! The home has crown molding around some of the doorways and all the lighting int he house needs to be replaced. Oh, and every room definitely needs a paint job. Lots of window work to be done, too and possible a little demolition to switch around doors/entryways for better flow of traffic. All in all and great house with great potential...can't wait to dive in!

We will not be moving in for a while (like a year) for financial reasons, but my mother is holding down he fort until I can afford to move in and take over all payments and bills. Even though its a bit of a wait, I am so excited! I cannot wait to get started on remodeling and designing my very first home. I am open to any and all ideas, opinions and suggestions. It is a great house and I look forward to transforming it into our beautiful, cozy home! Here are a few inspiring photos...

I love this dinning room! It is so bright and beautiful!

I love this idea for my bedroom. It it a great space saver and great for knickknacks!

I am totally loving this idea for my closet!!! Fun!

Love this color scheme!

I really like how bright this room is. I was thinking I would love these colors and this setup in the living room. Not too crazy about the chairs-I need arm rests!

I absolutely love this room! Lovin' the gray and those windows!

I love this color scheme for the guest bedroom. Very neutral and inviting. Plus, since the room has no natural light, I think it will help bring some openness to the room.

I love this breakfast nook! I was already planning on placing a window seat under the kitchen windows but had not considered utilizing it as a seat to the table. This is so pretty. I'm not too sure I like all the white, though.

Love this for my little man's room. The wall that I will put his bunk bed's on does not have much length to it, so I think this will help to elongate it.
